Crescent Moon Counseling
I’m glad you’re here
Being human is such a difficult experience—one that is both unique and universal—and sometimes we need help making sense of it. What brings us to therapy can look very different from person to person, and what brings you in the door is often just the beginning.
I like to think of therapy as a collaborative exploration of self with the goal of helping you develop a sense of home and safety within yourself. So many of us have been taught from a very young age how to shrink and hide ourselves, and I’d love to help you meet and accept all the different parts of you.
If you are someone who is feeling that rumble to really understand, connect with, and develop a new relationship with every version of yourself, you’re in the right place.
Maybe you've spent so much of your life adapting to the people and environments around you that it's difficult to know what is actually you. You know how to be what others need, but you're less sure what you need. You may find yourself asking, “What do I actually want?” or “Who am I when I'm not trying to keep everyone else okay?”
You learned to become who you needed to be in order to belong and feel safe. Therapy can help you discover who you are when you no longer have to work so hard to earn safety, connection, or acceptance.
Working with me includes, but goes far beyond developing insight. You might be someone who understands the “why” but gets tripped up in the “now what?” side of things. I want to help you heal through your thoughts, your emotions, and the felt experiences of being human.
It is important to note that I take active steps to integrate Antiracist, LGBTQIA2+ Affirming, Neurodivergence, and Feminist approaches to making therapy an equitable and inclusive experience.
